Range Safety Officer Class – March 22, 2026
Greater Lowell Trap League Looking for Shooters
We are once again fielding teams to compete in the Greater Lowell Trap League (GLTL). The GLTL is a trap shooting league that consists of various local gun clubs that runs from the middle of April to the end of July. Matches are held weekly on Tuesday or Wednesday nights, either at our home field or at other local trap fields.
The league has 5 divisions, so shooters are placed on teams of similar skill level/experience. C/D division teams shoot on Tuesday nights and AA/A/B division teams shoot on Wednesday nights.
While the shooting and competition is fun, the camaraderie is what makes the league special. The weekly winner is based on team score, not individual score. Most matches end with the home team hosting dinner for the visiting team, which allows like-minded men, women, and youth shooters to get together and enjoy each other’s company.
If you have any questions about the GLTL, or have potential interest in joining a team, please reach out to Steve DeFrancesco either by phone at 978-604-7437, or by email at steve.defrancesco@yahoo.com.
Thank you and we hope to see you out on the trap field this spring!

Indoor Range Work Party
This Saturday, January 10th, 2026 @ 8am, We are looking for some volunteers to help us clean up the indoor range. Currently there is an excess amount “unspent” gunpowder on the floor, and when a ricochet occurs, the gunpowder flares up…. It is urgent that we need to rectify this. So our plan is to sweep and vacuum the indoor range, and also perform some general maintenance at the same time. So if you are available, we would love it if you could spare some time and help!
If you have any questions about this, and or would like to volunteer your time, please call Jeff Blute @ 978-973-6109
