Sportsman of the Year 2021

2021 Sportsman of the Year is: Rich Sorrentino

Please join the club officers and directors in congratulating Rich Sorrentino for being voted our sportsman of the year for 2021. Rich has been a member of the club for over 10 years and has been an active participant in almost all club activities. He has been a member of the GLTL and MVPL for just over 2 years. He joined the Board of Directors in 2017 and became Vice President a year later in 2018.  Rich volunteered in our NRA Basic Firearms Safety Class as a coach and took over leadership in 2016.  He has work with the State with all the changes they have made and continues to change the program as needed.  In early 2018 he joined Webmaster Chris Bourgeois and updated the website and assists with the workload.  In the Spring of 2018, he started our Pistol Marksmanship Class.  At the height of COVID, Rich with a few of his instructors continued the NRA Basic Firearms Safety Class increasing to twice a month in order to handle the record number of applicants.  Rich has also worked tirelessly in order to make various zoom meetings happen.  Congratulations Rich!
