Patrick Logue III

The Tewksbury Rod and Gun Club Junior Rifle Program is proud to announce that on April 15, 2014, Patrick Logue III, achieved the rank of NRA Distinguished Expert, the highest possible rank in this rifle program.

All present were informed of Patrick’s accomplishment.  We would rather think that Patrick’s Mom & Dad, Patrick Jr. and Theresa, had something to do with it as well.

The awards were presented to Patrick by his instructors, Dana Crowe, Bradley Stevenson, and Lorie Crowe with great pomp and circumstance!

Please join your fellow members and officers in congratulating Patrick for all his hard work these past four years.  Dana Crowe informed the membership present that this accomplishment required Patrick to score 200 bullseye’s during his time in Junior League.

Andrew Hazelton

The Tewksbury Rod and Gun Club Junior Rifle Program is proud to announce that on March 6th, 2010, Andrew Hazelton, achieved the rank of NRA Distinguished Expert, the highest possible rank in this rifle program. His dedication to the sport has allowed him to attain this honor. Countless hours on the range and firing round after round after round of ammunition have resulted in the ultimate reward. Andrew is also an accomplished pistol shooter, both .22 and air pistol, winning numerous competitions including Gold at the Jr. Olympics. Congratulations Andrew!

Ian Crowe

The Tewksbury Rod and Gun Club Junior Rifle Program is proud to announce that on December 19, 2009 Ian Crowe, junior member, has achieved the rank of NRA Distinguished Expert, the highest possible rank in this rifle program. The road to success is long and demanding, often alternating between elation and frustration. More than five years of dedication, hundreds of hours on the range and firing seemingly endless rounds of ammunition have culminated in the ultimate reward. Less than six shooters have received this rank in the history of the club. Congratulations Ian!

Katherine Stevenson

At the end of March 2006, 16-year old Katherine Stevenson achieved the NRA rank of Distinguished Expert in four position small-bore riflery. Kate has been shooting with the TRGC Junior League since 2002. Through four years of dedication and practice she has obtained the ranks of Pro-Marksman, Marksman, Marksman 1st Class, Sharpshooter, Bars1-9, Expert, and finally Distinguished Expert. Before qualifying for Distinguished Expert a shooter must obtain all of the lower fourteen ranks each of which requires ten record bulls of increasing score in one of four different positions (Prone, Sitting, Kneeling, Offhand). The Distinguished Expert rank is an especially difficult and demanding achievement requiring ten qualifying sets of five bulls in each of the four positions for a total of 200 record bulls to obtain the top NRA rank. Congratulations Kate!

Please contact Dana Crowe or Bradley Stevenson for more information if you are interested in the Junior Rifle Program.
